Joint Marketing with Microsoft

Convert2XPS box.
I’ve signed a joint marketing agreement with Microsoft to promote Convert2XPS. As such, Convert2XPS now appears on Microsoft’s XPS Showcase site.

XPS document conversion is a pretty niche
area, so I’m not expecting an avalanche of customers to crash my server
with traffic, but every little helps, and a link back from Microsoft
certainly can’t hurt.

I’ll be sure to keep an eye on my analytics to see if anything of interest changes.

Wow ! Okay, so, I think I will go out and buy a gadget that
converts customers documents into something even MORE obscure than XPS
and see if someone out there wants – well – humm – oh, lets see – oh !
I know, something EQUALLY as unpopular as XPS – .APS ! Yes, I can see
my web site now “yes, line up and convert your PDF and .doc (don’t
forgt them .docxfiles!) to APS file format – Whoo hoo !

Hey, I will tell you all about how many hits that gets me !

um, well, gee wiz, you want 325 Euro ? Sheesh! I thought I could do
this for free in Vista – and I think my version of Adobe Acrobat can
export to XPS (can’t say that I have ever ever ever had anyone ask me
    for that)

now, if you had a gadget that converted to ODF – now THAT would get an avalanche of customers – including me !

PDF continues to be popular despite the efforts of Adobe to cripple
it with their trademark bloat. However, I’m sure that the recent
publication of PDF as an open standard and the announcement of a new
XML based file format are just coincidences, nothing at all to do with
the future of fixed document file formats…

Who do you evangelise for these days?

Slick looking box shot. I assume there is no real box? ;0)

Dear Mr Brice, thank you for your query. Shipping in boxes is
something we don’t currently support, but we will certainly consider it
in future versions. Maybe version 6 or something. Or you know – never.
    Who knows?

    :¬)

TrueBoxShot (or whatever the tool is called) is a really dinky
little prog. Even artistically deficient monkeys such as myself can do
    something half decent.

is it just me or is Covert2Xps.com not working…

Hi Dan, I became aware early this evening that both my Joomla sites
are down. I’m not convinced that it isn’t an exploit as other Joomla
users on other hosts are experiencing it too.

    Thanks for the heads up.
